Searunner 31 A-Frames & center/daggerboard. call Tom at 978-306-3347
These newer design A-frames were replacements for the originals on my Jim Brown Searunner 31 Trimaran. The material specified was stronger, the triangulation members were rearranged, and the fixing plates were redesigned. They were built buy the Searunner hardware supplier, ALMAR Marine, in Sausalito California - and are excellent quality.
There were removed when I converted the boat (widening the beam dimension and converting to the open, fixed-wing configuration) the A-frames were little used prior to being removed from the boat.
Available is a full set of A-frames - plus a bonus set of secondary struts.
These A-frames would be a great start for anyone wishing to build a Brown Searunner clone. Especially in the spirit of his more simplified 25' design - perhaps stretched to 27 or 28 feet
Or maybe something like a John Marples designed Seaclipper clone - with the winged cabin structure of the Searunner series. This approach would be a quicker build by far, cheaper, much lighter, and substantially faster!
Daggerboard / Centerboard
* Approx dimensions: 6' loa, 2' wide, shape is 12% thickness foil.
* This board is very strong - I had a duplicate to this board that I used in my Marples Cabinsib 32.
* I converted it from a daggerboard to a centerboard for the CS32 and it worked a treat!
* Needs some fairing on one side.
Located in Massachusetts, possible delivery.
